Hi there,
A friend of mine passed your email on to me. I am currently looking at a stone at Perry’s Emporium, a local jewelry store. I originally found this stone on Blue Nile and magically they got it in store. It is a 1.40 / VS2 / F / Ideal for $9,400. I am looking for something in this range for a stone and then pair it with a round halo setting. Can you guys help me out?
I’m happy to make some recommendations to you, but a quick question first: is there any reason you want such a high color grade? For a halo, you can easily go with an H color and get the same look to the naked eye. This way you can either save some money or get a larger diamond.
That’s just what I have been looking at. I’m open to looking at some larger stones in a different color grade if that is the case with that setting.
I’m glad to hear that!
I found the following option:
Blue Nile LD13096509
The high clarity grade is just a coincidence, it was the first eye-clean diamond I found. It has a beautiful cut and will be very bright and brilliant in a halo setting.
I like it a lot! It seems pretty similar to the one I found. Just slightly bigger and about $500 less.
Thank you for your help.
I’m glad you like it. It’s a beautiful option and the price is yet another bonus.
What do you think about a classic round halo setting for that stone?
An H colored diamond will look amazing in a classic halo. Halos make the center diamond look larger and add some more brilliance thanks to the numerous smaller diamonds on the ring. If you like this style, go for it.
Thank you so much!
