I’m looking for an asscher cut diamond and feeling very overwhelmed by all the parameters. Would you mind pointing me in the direction of the largest decent stone I can find within my budget of < 2000-2500 ? I’ve noticed that once mounted in a setting, the loveliness of the asscher cut is almost lost when the stone is too small.
Thanks so much in advance.
Thanks for writing. James Allen doesn’t seem to have any 0.70ct asscher cuts that fit into your budget right now. Would you mind writing me back in a week or so to check again? I can look elsewhere, but I don’t like recommending stones I can’t see.
This is the largest I would recommend that they have in stock now:

But as you can see, it’s WAY below budget.
Would you mind telling me what you think of these stones? They are way at the top of our budget, but might be possible.

Sure thing. If JA can confirm that the G SI2 is eye clean (highly unlikely), then it’s a great choice. Otherwise, the 0.77ct is great.
Thanks so much.
We asked them about the G SI2 and they said it’s almost certainly eye clean and they could send us more info in a few days, but the more we looked at the photos of that and the 0.77 one, the more we fell in love with the smaller one! It’s just such a pretty stone 🙂
Anyway, he ordered that one, and I want to make sure you get credit for it…
Great news!
Thanks so much! And please let me know what you think when it arrives.
Sorry for the delay. We ordered the ring and ended up returning the setting since it was not good for the stone (kept wiggling despite sending it back for tightening). We kept the stone and had a much better setting made at a local jeweler.
Thanks so much for your help selecting the stone! We really love it.

Sorry to hear about the setting, but thrilled you love the diamond!
