Q&A: Buying Round Brilliant Diamond for Solitaire Setting, from Singapore

I found your website from google 🙂 and after your Q&A sections, I was amazed with how you help people. I am hoping that you can help me too

I am from Singapore and hoping to purchase diamond online from James Allen (they give free shipping and insurance) and then it set it to ring here in Singapore (because I don’t precisely know my GF ring size, and may need to do resizing)

if you don’t mind, can you help me to select some (3-4 options) of diamond with following characteristics

Shape : round

Cut : Excellent or JA True Hearts

Polish : Excellent

Simmetry : Excellent

Fluorescence : (I am not sure about this, does it affect sparkle of diamond ?)

hopefully eye clean and as sparkling as possible 🙂

and another question, do you thing it is worthed to pay a bit more for JA True Hearts compare to their excellent cut grade (with same characteristic of diamond)

Thank you for your reply. actually I put my budget in the title of the email that I sent through Q&A page. it should be max 3000 – 3500 USD (for stone only), hopefully can get best value for money stone

setting wise : should be simple 4 prong ala tiffany&co style but I don’t have particular model in mind yet

currently I am thinking of white gold but may change to platinum if I can afford it within my budget

would like to mount it as solitaire, single diamond

is there much difference between colour H-I-J-K ?

I personally see those 2 diamonds in store and can’t decide between those 2, when i see from top (table) colour looks the same, but when I see from bottom culet, K colour looks more yellowish, will it affect sparkle of diamond ?

price wise, those 2 are more expensive compare to James Allen since they are available in store but not much difference since they are on sale

please please please.. help me to decide 🙂
