I’m looking for for a cushion cut diamond for an engagement ring. I’ve learned a lot from your site it has been such a great resource thank you. I was wondering if you could guide me a little more. This is what I have so far, my girlfriend wants that setting, but the diamond she left up to me. The price is about as high as I want to go. Is there a better value?

For cushions, it’s great to keep the depth under 68% and the table shouldn’t exceed 70% (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/cushion-cut/). As for the color, I would recommend sticking with H+ color with none, faint or medium fluorescence (medium and strong fluorescence on D-G colored diamonds can cause a hazy/milky look in daylight).
Regarding the stone you found, it’s a nice, well-cut diamond.
