I am considering buying a 1.5ct diamond with E color and VS1 clarity from Blue Nile.
The GIA report show very few inclusions and a small cloud located at the very edge of the diamond. The whole table is clean. The only thing I am scared is the sentence “additional clouds are not shown” written in the GIA report.
Does this means that there might be some clouds on the table that impact this ring brilliance and it’s overall brightness? I selected this ring thanks to the tips on your website regarding proportions and cut quality because I want to maximize its brilliance but now I am afraid that the presence of undisclosed clouds may compromise my objective.
Here is a link to the diamond I have selected:

This diamond is absolutely stunning. It checks all the boxes. Firstly, the cut is perfect, all the parameters are within a proper range and work very well together. The diamond will have a lot of brilliance and fire. Secondly, it’s eye-clean, none of the inclusions marked in the clarity plot would be noticeable in real life. Clouds are not at all an issue on a VS1 diamond (otherwise it wouldn’t have gotten such high clarity grade).
It is an excellent choice and will make a gorgeous ring. You did a great job finding it!
I have followed the indications explained in your website!
I am purchasing this today or tomorrow.
Thank you!
Well, a lot of people claim they read our website back and forth and only few of them are actually able to find a great diamond without our help. You were!
Let me know how it goes.
I reserved the diamond we spoke about.
Sorry to bother you again, but I have a last question/doubt.
As an alternative to my first choice, I was looking at this second diamond:
Blue Nile LD05426894
Is there a good reason in your opinion for which I should consider spending $1,800 more for this diamond compared to the diamond I am buying? The only thing I can see is that the 8 black arrow pattern is sharper in this second diamond but I am not sure if this translates to something very significant in real-life.
Blue Nile LD05426894
This diamond cannot really compare to your original selection. It has a Very small culet and that’s an issue, it should always be None or Pointed.
The arrow pattern you mentioned has more to do with the way it’s photographed than anything within the diamond. Your E VS1 is perfect in every single detail.
You’re a godsend, thank you so much!
I’m glad I could help!
