Hi Diamonds Pro Team,

I am looking for a diamond for an engagement ring.

I found this diamond on Blue Nile:

I live in Europe where it is about 2,600€ incl VAT.

I am looking for a stone with characteristics like this:

Carat: 0.8
Setting: yellow gold
Color: J or better (or would you recommend going lower?)
Clarity: VS2 or better
Cut: Excellent/Ideal

The diamond looks amazing! What style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones/halo) are you considering?

I am considering a setting similar to this one:
14K Yellow Gold Petite Pavé Engagement Ring (Flush Fit)

I will work together with a goldsmith who is a friend of mine on the ring, but want the setting to look something like the one above.

Do you think that will fit together well?
