Hello,
I was referred to your site by my brother, who used your assistance for his engagement diamond purchase about three years ago.
I’m planning to purchase a stone in the next month.
I’m looking to purchase a princess cut diamond in the $4000 – $4500 range. My fiance was thrilled with a 0.93 CT stone that we looked at last weekend (shane company stone, color E, VS1, $5500) so something in that range would be fine (of course she wouldn’t mind coming in a bit larger than that!).
I’ve looked at several sites and like James Allan (also where my brother purchased his ring) but I’m not confident in my ability to spot possible flaws even with the 40X magnification.
Your recommendations on quality stones in my budget would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
I would recommend a diamond like these:
What do you think?
Thanks for the quick response.
Both stones look really nice. I’ve only been looking at Ideal cut, but I notice that both of these are very good cut. I’m guessing that means that in your opinion the difference is imperceptible? Maybe it has to do with the pave setting around the stone?
Also, table % is 73% on one and 69% on the other. Is that a visually perceptible difference?
I don’t pay any attention to websites cut grades. These both fit into my definition of a very well cut princess cut. Personally I like the F VVS2 a bit more.
