I would like to know what your thoughts are on this diamond.
I choose a platinum setting.
Blue Nile LD14518224 – This diamond is perfect, I don’t see any red flags. I see it’s no longer available. Have you already bought it?
I have the diamond on hold for now, so that is why you see that it is not available.
I have been thinking if I should spend a little more and go up in carat size. However, the budget that I am confident spending is around the $3,000 and for that amount of money including the setting I feel this is the best option for me. I could stend that and maybe get a .80 carat but I would sacrifice the quality of the diamond a little bit.
Also I talked with one of the sales representatives of Blue Nile and he told me that going from .73 to .80 there is no visual difference and wouldn’t be worth it. In conclusion he made me feel confident that the diamond I chose (the one I sent you the link) was the best and better option.

I also want you to take a look of this diamond I found:
Blue Nile LD14696275
As for comparing size, the carat weight isn’t that important. Your eye doesn’t see the weight, it sees the size. Specifically, you see the face of the diamond. That’s why I always recommend checking the actual measurements.
The diamond you found (Blue Nile LD14696275) has strong fluorescence, it might theoretically cause a hazy/milky look in daylight. Also, it decreases the value of the stone a bit.
I think I found the one:
Blue Nile LD14827664 – This diamond is perfect, I don’t see any red flags. It’s superbly cut and will perform lots of brilliance. Nice find!
I went ahead and purchased the diamond. I am very happy with the option. Was worth the time looking for the right one.
