Hello,
I am looking for a diamond in the $10,000 a $20,000 range (round shape). The brilliance and fiery appearance is most important to me followed by carat. My preference is James Allen.
Do you have any suggestions?
Can you please tell me what setting style (solitaire/pave/side stones/halo) and metal (white gold/rose gold/yellow gold/platinum) you’re planning to go with? Different colors suit different setting styles better (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color/). What size do you desire?
Pave setting or solitaire setting with white gold or platinum.
For a solitaire setting, I would recommend J colored diamonds. For pave settings, it’s better to stick with I+ stones.
As for the metal, it’s up to you if you choose platinum or white gold. You’ll need to maintain both metals. As our article says (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/platinum-vs-gold/), the WG has to be dipped every few years and the platinum needs to be polished as well because it scratches. So ultimately, platinum costs you more in the beginning and doesn’t end up saving you any money in the long run. But there is one advantage of platinum – it’s hypoallergenic.
Here are my suggestions:
J color:

All these diamonds are nicely cut, eye-clean and brilliant.
If you’re looking for a truly spectacular diamond, Brian Gavin Diamonds is the way to go. Brian Gavin is known as one of the world’s experts when it comes to perfectly cut diamonds (https://www.diamonds.pro/reviews/brian-gavin/). They focus on each aspect of the stone, therefore, all their diamonds are extremely brilliant. Here are some options:

Thanks for your help, these look great! I’ll definitely go with one of them.
