I’ve read the majority of your articles and appreciate the honesty and thorough explanations given in them.
In taking your advice I stuck in the G-H area, with excellent/ideal cuts and SI1-2 in order to try and maximize my bang for buck.
If I were to send you a list (11 diamonds) that I saw on James Allen, would you be able to help me pick the best of the bunch?
Thank you for the help.
I am pleased to hear that you found our articles so useful.
Can you please narrow down your search up to 5 stones you like the most? Then I’ll be happy to comment on them.
Also, can you tell me what style of setting (solitaire, halo, pave or other) and metal (platinum/white or yellow gold) you’re going to use? Different settings suit certain colors better. https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color//
Thanks for taking the time to work with me, I am ideally looking to keep the colour grade a bit higher and trying to avoid fluorescence. These three I found look good, the 1.22 seems like a steal, and I believe (not completely sure) but the measurements of the diamonds (table, depth, pavilion) look about right?
Am I missing anything? Let me know your thoughts, and thank you for the help. And let me know if you see a diamond in the 5000-7500 area that beats all of these.
The setting would be a paved band, solitare diamond on top, in white gold.

Is there a reason that you were looking for high color grades? Would you be willing to go one color grade down? Can I send you an example of such stone?

I’m afraid that the 1.18 carat is not eye-clean. The other two are beautiful and with great overall specs. I like the 1.22 carat more because it’s significantly bigger and less expensive than the 1.07 carat.
Yes, if you see any good examples of lower colour diamonds you think are outstanding for their price I’d be interested in taking a look.
Fantastic, I also found this diamond for you:
It is very well cut and when you look at the measurements, it’s bigger than the 1.22 carat we discussed.
What do you think of this one?
Are those ideal dimensions for a diamond?
Yes, the cut is absolutely fantastic and the overall specs as well. So if you like it, I wouldn’t hesitate and go for it.
Awesome, thanks for the assistance.
It’s been my pleasure.
