Hi,
Thanks for all the great advice. What do you guys think of enhanced stones?
She wants the primary stone to be earth made but the 8 side stones can be lab made. The ring metal can be white gold or whatever. She is ok with better stones and lesser metal.
We don’t recommend artificially enhanced diamonds as they are terrible value: https://www.diamonds.pro/education/clarity-enhancement/. Those diamonds have much smaller resale value in general and not a lot of jewelers are willing to buy them back from people.
I found this setting but the side diamonds are earth-mined:
14K White Gold Prong Set Diamond Engagement Ring
Do you have a ballpark budget for the center stone?
The setting from James Allen is a close match. I got a popup about 25% off our 1st order. In that it said for the next 72 hours.
I realize you can not speak for James Allen, I was just wondering if submitting the discount form means we have to purchase within 72 hours or the sign up opportunity will only be available to me for 72 hours?
We can make a choice pretty quickly, especially for 25% off, but I don’t have confidence that we can definitely choose under that timer.
As for the sale, I don’t know, you need to ask the JA rep directly. But those sales usually apply to settings only. I’ll gladly help you with the diamond search, I just need to know the budget for the center stone. The center stone is going to be round-cut diamond, is that right?
The main stone price range should be $7,000 to maybe $8,500.
I found these beautiful diamond options:

www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.35-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-7446674?a_aid=dmnd1357
The primary stone we are going with is sku 9748088.
I was able to trigger the 25% settings coupon so that will take $500 off the $1,200 taxes.
Thank you.
Great to hear that!
