Hello,
I am looking to buy my first and hopefully last engagement ring. The link is the setting im going to be putting it in. My girl friends ring size is a 5 so I was thinking that a .75ct center stone would be big enough. Im just stuck trying to find the one with an execellent to ideal cut. The thing that is throwing me off is the clarity im not sure what one would be my best bet. im looking to spend less then $3000 on the diamond.

Any help would be great.
Thank you!
I love this diamond for you:
Its bright, eye-clean and a great value. It will look great in that wedding set.
What do you think?
Thank you for the email, I’m currently deployed in Afghanistan now and in my free time between missions I have been looking for diamonds for that setting. I have spent hours looking, to my amazement I didn’t see this one. This is perfect! The one i had selected was $200 more and had black blemishes on the on side. This one is amazing.
Thank you so much for your email.
My pleasure. Please let me know how it looks when it arrives.
From your expertise and knowledge on diamonds, do you think that a .75 is a good size stone on a size 5 ring?
I think its perfectly fine. That is a matter of opinion though. Given your price-point, it doesn’t pay to move up in size. To get a significantly larger diamond (say a 1ct) would mean a 40% increase in your budget.
Well thank you for all your help, I’m currently working with the folks at James Allen to make the purchase.
Keep me posted.
