Q&A: Choosing Between Two Round Diamonds for a Solitaire Setting with Around $23,000 Budget

My one concern with this diamond is am I over paying for color? If I am planning on using solitaire setting on platinum band.

This diamond for example is cheaper and it seems the main sacrifice is color:

Which of these diamonds would you go for?

For a simple solitaire setting, I color is perfectly fine. There wouldn’t be any yellowness, especially since you’re going to put the diamond into a solitaire setting. I don’t think it’s necessary to pay for an H color, you wouldn’t really benefit from it.
