Hi,
I am hoping for your input on a 2.00 carat oval diamond for a yellow gold solitaire setting. My budget is around the $15,000 mark but coming under that for a diamond that checks all the boxes would be great.
Here are a few that I have come across myself and I would be curious for your input on:

I likely have some time until a proposal so, if necessary, I do think I have the time to order something and return it if its not exactly right.
Here are my comments about the diamonds you found:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/2.01-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-sku-7690598?a_aid=dmnd1357 – I wouldn’t recommend this stone because of the knot. It’s quite big, therefore, it might disrupt the integrity of the diamond.
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/2.00-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-sku-8736867?a_aid=dmnd1357 – This stone is, in my opinion, not eye-clean because of the inclusions on the table.
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/2.01-carat-i-color-vs1-clarity-sku-8659380?a_aid=dmnd1357 – I color might look yellowish (especially when we talk about a 2ct stone). I’d suggest sticking with H+ colored diamonds. It would be okay for a yellow gold solitaire setting with yellow gold prongs. But I’d still prefer H+ since it’s a big rock.
Could you please send me the setting you are planning to go with? Then I’ll gladly recommend some nice diamonds.
In response to your question on setting, I have primarily been looking at these:
14K Yellow Gold Petite Pave Cathedral Engagement Ring
14K Yellow Gold Claw Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring (Flush Fit)
Thank you for the additional info. For those settings, I would recommend H+ colored diamonds.
I found these nice options:

www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.90-carat-h-color-vvs1-clarity-sku-8608312?a_aid=dmnd1357
But they have a slightly smaller carat weight. However, I always recommend comparing the actual measurements, not the carat weight.
Both diamonds you sent are amazing. In fact, they both look so good its difficult for me to pick one over the other. Its tough to tell but at least on my screen the VVS1 looks slightly more brilliant? I think the price difference is negligible. Would you recommend one over the other? I am not ruling out either of them at this point.
I know it makes little sense considering, as you point out, the real life size difference in actual measurements but do you know what the approximate price point would be for something that you would recommend at 2 carats?
I personally like this one more: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.90-carat-h-color-vvs1-clarity-sku-8608312?a_aid=dmnd1357. Bear in mind you can’t see the brilliance from a video. But both are nice options.
I found these 2ct stones:

Blue Nile LD13660667
I really like the 2.01 from James Allen and that just might be the one. Anything else I should be aware of?
If you like the 2.01ct (and I also think it’s a gorgeous diamond), go for it.
Thanks again for all your help!
