It looks as though Ira has already pointed you in the right direction with regard to a few center diamond options from James Allen. Those look like great cushion cuts to consider. She can work with members of our design team to see if we can recreate a James Allen inspiration of the Legacy design. I just received the quote for the Legacy Inspired Engagement ring and we can re-create if for $4800 n 18kt white gold or $5250 in platinum. It will have approximately 1.30cttw and require of 10 business days for production. Due to the custom nature it deems a non-returnable item however, is covered under our 60 day free resizing policy and lifetime warranty. As far as the “too big” question – there’s no way to answer that as it’s purely a matter of aesthetics and personal style.

As far as the dimensions go, figure the halo is about 2mm wide, so add 4mm to the L and the W of the cushion and those’ll be your approximate dimensions.

That stone is really really nice (nicer than the G VS2 you linked to). It looks so large because of its prime depth of 66%.
