Hello
I currently see a diamond on People Jewellerer’s website as link below:
https://www.peoplesjewellers.com/050-ct-certified-diamond-solitaire-crown-royal-pendant-14k-gold-ji3/p/V-14824700
The diamond price is CND $1,499 + 13% tax. The site is having 10% sale as well.
The color and clarity advertise is J/I3.
This diamond comes with a certificate from GS Laboratories. The certificate number is GSL1150950. On the certificate, the clarity is I1 and colour H-I, cut: good.
The store offers lifetime commitment and 12 months no interest no payment. Since I’m living in Canada so it is convenient to bring the item in the store for maintenance every 6 months.
Since I don’t have much experience with diamond. I would highly appreciate if you can share some expert advice about how trustworthy the lab certificate is and whether this diamond worth the price considering all the conditions and benefits.
Thank you very much.
GS is not a legitimate certificate so you never know what you’d be paying for. I would stay away and get a diamond with proper certification. Probably not in Peoples: https://www.diamonds.pro/reviews/peoples-jewellers/
Thank you very much!
You’re welcome. Let me know if you need any more help.
Since you are so helpful so I would like to bother you a bit more 🙂
I’m looking at two diamonds:
Blue Nile LD09576139
Or
Blue Nile LD09606939
The 0.36 carat price is higher than my budget so I would like to ask your recommendations whether the 0.36 ct will look significantly bigger than the 0.27 ct. and what’s your advice.
Unfortunately, neither of them is a good choice. They have “clouds” listed as the only clarity characteristics which means that they could be much less brilliant.
This is what I’d go with:
Blue Nile LD10406074
There’s no reason to pay a premium for high color grades. For a simple yellow gold setting, J color is perfectly fine, it is going to look colorless. These options are well cut, eye-clean and either of them will be very brilliant. I don’t think that the difference in size is an issue, but now you can have a 0.3ct diamond for less so you could consider it as well.
Thank you so much for your kind help!
My pleasure.
