Hi, I am about to purchase 1.5 carat lab diamond from James Allen. Can you help in choosing?
Can you please tell me what setting style and metal you’re planning to go with? It will help me determine the right color as different settings suit different colors better. Then I’ll gladly recommend some options.
I want a 1.5 – 1.6 carat round solitaire diamond. I would not be reselling it and so would go for a lab diamond as otherwise I wouldn’t be getting this carat in my budget. My budget is $5,000. Important for me is that diamond really shines.
Here is what I found for you:

Of these, can you just select 1 that’s best & I will go ahead & purchase. Again, I want diamond with great brilliance.
I’d personally get this one: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.65-carat-e-color-si2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-8065039?a_aid=dmnd1357&chan=LC. My second option would be this diamond: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.52-carat-i-color-vvs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-8065032?a_aid=dmnd1357&chan=LC, third: https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.51-carat-g-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-8064971?a_aid=dmnd1357&chan=LC. Let me know how you decided.
Doesn’t the first one show a lot of flaws visible with naked eyes and it looks dull?
In my opinion, it’s eye-clean. The cut is perfect, therefore, it would be brilliant. But if you don’t like it, you can choose the second or third option. It’s up to you what you like and prefer.
