Hi
You guys helped me find an engagement ring a while back and it’s now time to buy some diamond earrings.
It would be great to have one of your experts guide a bit so I can get a nice pair.
It depends on what you want. If you want a preset pair with no certificate, you can just buy it on your own. But a carefully chosen certified pair might be a bit cheaper or at least the same price and better quality with actual paperwork.
How much are you thinking of spending? Or what carat weight would you like?
If it’s possible to get more “bang for your buck” finding an individual pair then that would be great!
I’m spending anywhere inbetween 1.200-1.600USD (with a bit of wiggle room.)
I’m looking for a pair of studs, 14/18k gold (will there be a noticeable difference?)
And then (as I assume everyone else says as well), the biggest and most sparkly.
Something like this maybe:
Blue Nile LD12032169-LD12172776
Would there be a noticeable difference going to this size?
Blue Nile LD12152626-LD12258367
Or these?
Blue Nile LD12030162-LD12318305
The difference between a 14K and 18K gold isn’t that noticeable to the naked eye. I’d go with 14K since it’s a bit cheaper and more durable.
Looking at the diamonds you picked out, I like the I color pair the most. Most of the other ones were SI clarity and the only or first inclusion mentioned in the certificate was cloud. Since the diamonds are below 1ct and the certs don’t have a clarity plot, it’s risky as the clouds could be huge and right in the middle and the diamonds could appear cloudy in daylight.
The I color diamonds look great. You picked a very nice pair. Great job.
Thanks for backing me up!
I’ll go ahead and buy the pair you liked the most from the precious email!
That’s great news!
