My fiancé and I are getting closer to buying my ring and I will be going with an oval solitaire ring. Carat weight should be around 1 carat (less is totally fine to cut the price, just not under 0.8) and our budget is up to $3,000 max for the diamond itself.
The L:W ratio should be around a 1.4 to a 1.5.
This is the setting I chose:
14K Rose Gold 1.5mm Comfort Fit Engagement Ring
And this will be the wedding band:
14K Rose Gold U Pavé Wedding Ring
I found these diamonds:

Thanks so much! Do you think it would be worth it to up the budget a bit in order to get to 0.9 carat? And if yes, how much do you think we’d have to put in?
The size is a matter of personal taste and preference (and budget, of course). I found this perfect stone that is reasonably priced: www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/0.90-carat-h-color-vs1-clarity-sku-10094072?a_aid=dmnd1357.
You wouldn’t have to increase your budget too much.
Wow, that stone is perfect!! I think this is the one.
Thank you so much for assisting me.
That’s wonderful news! I hope the diamond will meet (or exceed) your expectations.
