I’m in the process of searching for a ring for my gf. Upon reading your site I’ve expanded my search to James Allen. I’ve tried to follow your guide as closely as possible but I think I need a little help picking out a stone, two of which I’ve attached below, along with the preferred setting.
Looking for a little guidance on getting the best bang for my buck, for engagement ring only between 9-10,000$ CAD. I look forward to your reply!
Unfortunately, “I” is too low of a color grade for a halo setting. It would have a yellow hue compared to the smaller diamonds next to it (= the halo).

It has a fantastic cut and it’s perfectly eye-clean despite of the slightly lower clarity grade. It would make an amazing ring.
