So this diamond has a needle inclusion across the middle when magnified but do you think that this inclusion is noticeable by the naked eye without magnification? Is this diamond a good buy? Budget is $5,500 for the diamond.

That’s definitely not a good diamond. The specs are great, but the needle is huge and would be visible to the naked eye.
What style setting (solitaire, pave/side stones/halo) and metal (yellow/white gold, platinum) are you putting the diamond in?
For the setting I think I will go with 14k white gold with side stones midway through the band (at least a 2mm band).

For the setting as you described, you can easily go lower in color and still get a very bright diamond.

Looks good. My only question is the medium fluorescence…doesn’t that make the diamond look duller?
It usually does on G+ colors. But on lower grades (H, I, J, K…) it’s a slight bonus that helps the diamond look a bit whiter.
