Hello. I am looking to buy the main stone for an engagement ring. I’ve already met with my local jeweler and picked the setting and band but have not yet picked the main diamond.
Looking for a good value diamond 1.8-2ish carats and hoping to stay under $10k as my budget. Looking at round diamonds only. Please let me know if you have any suggestions that I might want to look at and consider. Thanks.
Can you also tell me what style of setting (solitaire, halo, pave or other) and metal (platinum/white or yellow gold) you’re going to use? It influences my search for color. Then I’ll be happy to send you my suggestion.

Solitaire diamond in a platinum setting.
Thank you for the additional information.
I found this diamond with the quality I’d recommend:
I think that the inclusions in the edge can be covered by a prong and the one on the table won’t be visible.
What do you think?
This looks great! Do you have any similar options that are closer to 1.9 or 2 carat?
Well, I’m afraid that I won’t find a quality stone with higher carat weight within the budget you mentioned. Are you willing to increase it a bit?
Let’s see what 11k, 12k, and 13k would allow.
OK, have a look at these stones:

Thanks for all your help I’m pretty close to a decision. I like the suggestions you’ve sent so far.
A few other questions: what would it cost to get just above 2 carats?
Do you have any information on financing the diamond?
Here’s my suggestion of a 2.01 carat diamond:
As for the financing, you can read more here: https://www.jamesallen.com/financing/
