Hello!
Looking for a 2.5 – 3.0 round brilliant in something as close as possible to the traditional 6 prong Tiffany setting. I would like to keep the total price under 24k. I am leaning towards Blue Nile.
Where to begin? Thank you!
I’d go with something like this:
Blue Nile LD09454402
We usually recommend a J color for a solitaire setting and it looks amazing. Plus, the medium fluorescence will help the diamond look a bit whiter. Overall, you’d get a fantastic diamond.
There are two options of the “Tiffany” setting on Blue Nile that you can choose from:
Nouveau Knife Edge Six Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring
Petite Nouveau Six-Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring
Let me know what you think.
Thank you for the quick response!
And if I wanted to get closer to 3ct what would you recommend? Also, open to other vendors if you feel there is a better option.
Something like this could also work:

There is a big feather at the edge, but most of it could be covered with a prong.
They also have very nice settings:
14K WHITE GOLD SIX PRONG KNIFE EDGED SOLITAIRE ENGAGEMENT RING
Ok. I guess somewhere in between the two that you’ve shared so far. The one from James Allen appears more yellow (I realize I am only looking on a computer and there are vast differences in the way the various vendors photograph their stones) and no fluorescence.
Don’t focus on the fluorescence. Not every diamond has it and it’s not that important. And sometimes you might end up with much more expensive diamond only because of the fluorescence.
I found a diamond that is somewhere in the middle of the two I already sent:

Even though the diamonds on JA seem to be more yellow looking, they won’t be. It’s really only the way they took the picture.
I went with Blue Nile and purchased today!
Thank you for your help!!
I’m happy to hear that! It was my pleasure helping you.
