Q&A: Help Finding a Colorless Round Diamond Without Fluorescence for Around $15,000 Budget

By Mike Fried,

Unfortunately, neither of them is a good choice. Strong fluorescence is a kiss of death on anything higher than an I color. D/F diamonds with strong fluorescence are going to look hazy/milky in natural settings (like restaurants or outside). I would skip them both.

Would you like me to suggest better options?

What about this one?

If you don’t like it can you recommend something that is similar in size and price?

Medium fluorescence is still too much for an F-color diamond. DEFG diamonds look good only with none or faint fluorescence.

Here’s what I’d recommend:

It’s gorgeously cut, absolutely eye-clean and color-wise it’s going to look identical to higher grades.

What do you think?

I really like it. Thanks 🙂
