I would also appreciate your thoughts on 4 prong basket setting versus a 3 prong martini setting. I think I prefer the three prong but have read that they can sometimes hurt the ear as it\’s end is more pointed against the ear than flat against it like a basket setting.

The 0.42ct/0.43ct pair isn’t good. The diamonds are cut too deep (63.2%). It’s better to keep the depth below 62.6% to get the best brilliance out of them.

As for the setting, I haven’t heard anyone complaining about it hurting their ears. But it’s possible that it just didn’t get to me. Both styles look great in an ear and if you have doubts about the martini setting, go with the basket. It looks equally amazing and you’ll be sure it won’t hurt.
