Hi, I am trying to select a diamond for the Blue Nile Riviera Pave ring setting in white gold. What would be the best choice of diamond, less than 1 carat, for this ring setting? I’m looking for maximum bling and sparkle.
I originally selected this diamond: Blue Nile LD14344059.
I did more research on your web site and thought this diamond might be diminished by the color grade of the pave setting.
I then switched to Blue Nile LD14461848 as I thought the G color would be better with the ring setting.
Neither of the diamonds you sent me would be a good choice. The G one is not eye-clean and the D one has strong fluorescence which would make it look dead/hazy in daylight.
Since the Riviera setting has I color diamond accents in the band, you can easily put an I color center stone into it with no problems at all.

The high clarity grades are jusst a coincidence, these stones were the best cut diamonds I found. They’d be very bright and brilliant.
