Hi,
I am looking for an engagement ring that is a round diamond with a white gold setting. I was referred to you and James Allen and was hoping for help.
I am looking for about $4000-$5000 all in. There are a few settings I found on their site already. They are the simpler and thinner settings with some small stones on the side.
Feel free to send me links to the settings and I’ll send some diamond options your way so you can see what’s possible to get within your budget.
14K WHITE GOLD 2.2MM PAVE DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING
14K WHITE GOLD THIN CHANNEL SET ROUND SHAPED DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING
This is the best option around that budget that I found. It’s clean to the naked eye (the feather on the edge could be covered with a prong), it’s well cut and will have a lot of fire and brilliance.
Thanks so much. 2 questions:
Can you explain the feather, I don’t understand?
And is there a slightly better color available even if slightly more expensive?
There is an inclusion, a feather, on 5 o’clock. It’s a flaw in the diamond, but because it’s located close to the edge, one of the setting prongs can cover it.
We recommend an I color for pave/side stone settings. Since the smaller diamonds in the setting aren’t directly in contact with the center stone, you don’t need a higher color. The color difference won’t be noticeable.
But here is one diamond with H color:

It’s also clean to the naked eye and well cut.
Thank you for that explanation! You helped a lot!
You’re very welcome.
