Hi,
I have found your website to be very useful. I’m not exactly sure of what services you provide, but if I were to tell you of the diamond criteria and budget I am looking for, would you be able to give me some links to James Allen/Blue Nile for suitable diamonds? Or alternatively, if I find some diamonds that I am interested in on these websites, can you advise which would be eye-clean and therefore the best purchase? Thanks!
Of course, I’ll gladly help you with the search. I’ll gladly search for some diamonds within your criteria and budget and I can also comment on any diamonds you may find. What are you looking for? What shape do you prefer? What setting style and metal are you planning to go with? Do you have a ballpark budget in mind?
We are looking for a round diamond to be inserted into a 14ct white gold four prong solitaire ring.
We would like a 0.6 to 0.7 carat diamond for under A$3,000 (Australian dollars).
We would prefer Excellent Cut, polish and symmetry. Clarity of VS2 or SI1. As long as it is eye clean. Colour G or H.
Preferably GIA certified.
Here’s what I’d recommend:
Blue Nile LD14518118
Blue Nile LD14532757

Thank you for your suggestions. Would these all be eye-clean, even the James Allen suggestion, where I can see some markings on the table?
Do you think it would be possible to get a 0.7 carat diamond in maybe SI1 or maybe compromising something else, as long as it is still eye clean, within the same budget?
Yes, all the diamonds I sent over are eye-clean. Bear in mind those videos are extremely magnified.
Here are some other options:
Blue Nile LD14518247
Blue Nile LD14346107

Thank you for your recommendations.
I am comparing one diamond that you recommended:
Blue Nile LD14346107
(It is showing as SOLD as it is in my basket)
With this one
Blue Nile LD13514705
The second one appears to be a better cut (Ex Polish and EX Symmetry) but it is cheaper in price. Is there a reason for this?
I would not recommend this diamond (Blue Nile LD13514705) as it has a cloud mentioned in the first place in clarity characteristics. Such stones might look cloudy/milky. But both would be, in my opinion, eye-clean. Let me know how you decided.
Thanks for your email. I have checked with a Blue Nile representative, and they have confirmed that Blue Nile LD13514705 is eye clean and not cloudy. I am leaning towards this diamond as it has been reduced in price so appears to be good value.
If they confirmed it’s eye-clean and not cloudy, then it would be a nice choice. It’s nicely cut, therefore, it should be bright and brilliant. Let me know how it goes.
I have now purchased Blue Nile LD13514705.
The price was just too good to refuse, if it is eye clean. Fingers crossed!
Sounds great!
