I have a budget of around $10,000 for a stone. I already have a family jeweler who I’m having create a custom setting in platinum or white gold.
My (future) fiance wants an oval diamond of 1.75-2ct. What is the best stone I can get for this price range? Is this even a feasible budget?
It’s not really possible to find a 1.75ct+ diamond within that price. But you could get something around 1.60ct which would look great as well:

This oval is beautifully cut, eye-clean and will look very bright and brilliant.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I’m willing to stretch my budget to 12000 if that makes a difference. I loved the diamond you suggested, but i know she had her eyes on something a bit larger.
I found a 1.71ct one for $11,540 but if you compare the measurements, it’s actually smaller than the 1.60ct I sent you previously.

I can’t find anything larger than the one I sent you already, even if you increase the budget to 12k.
I am leaning towards the first stone you sent me. It really is beautiful and I think she will love it.
…
My partner was able to find a setting style she loved and also found that a 2ct stone was not ideal for her wants. After looking she is very open to a diamond from 1.5-1.8 ct. I saw that the first diamond you sent me was no longer available, so I was hoping you could help me find something similar. I would like to stay under $10000, so any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you, thanks!
Here is a stunning 1.50ct diamond from James Allen that would look perfect in any setting:

I’ll go ahead with that one, thanks!
