Your site is great and very informative. Thanks for your efforts. I have however, discovered it after I have made a purchase at James Allen. I hope you don’t mind (just for my peace of mind) to let me know if the diamond I purchased below would be eye clean with a lot of brilliance/sparkle and no bow tie?

Good. Cancel the order!! The stone’s going to look yellowish and it’s way too stubby. An oval needs to be more elongated. What’s your budget for the diamond?

I have a very short ring finger, 2.5 inches, and I thought that the diamond being stubby, it would not overwhelm my finger and it would mimic a round brilliant somehow.
Anyway, my budget for a diamond is $2500 and must be at least .95 carats and above, and of course, eye clean with a lot of sparkle. I’m partial to the RB, Oval, Heart, or Princess. Any suggestion on a good shape for short fingers?
Any advise on a diamond/s at James Allen’s that I could replace it with?

Did you by any chance find a diamond in Princess or Round Oval within this budget?
if anything, I think it’ll elongate your finger.

BTW, do you think this new diamond will have a lot of sparkle? I had it set on a 2mm comfort fit solitaire setting.

After round, it’s really a free for all. There isn’t one that’s definitively better than another.
Just to let you know I received the ring today! I’m so glad you veered me away from the”J” (it being too yellow) and suggested the “I” instead (based on my budget). : ) Thanks so much for all your help and patience and will surely contact you again for any future purchases.
