Great Site! Very informative. Thanks!
My girlfriend is petite but she wants a 2+ Carat. I am thinking 1.5-1.75c but it will technically be close to 2c with the pave band. She wants Crushed style- (I.E really sparkly) cushion cut, cupcake single prong setting, with a Platinum French pave band with Diamonds that go all the way around. Does this make sense? How much do you think I need to spend?
Can you send me a picture/link to a cupcake setting?
Hi Mike- thanks for the reply.
No picture but her friend described the setting as follows……
The single prong cupcake setting is a simple setting. If you turn and look at the ring on the side the setting looks like a cupcake bottom.
Make sense?
I would recommend this diamond for you:

1) It’s bright, eye-clean and a great cut.
2) The slightly rectangular shape will make it look bigger.
3) It’s as ‘crushed-ice’ as can be. It will be very brilliant.
What do you think?
I agree. Looks great! Do you have any others you recommend for comparison? Also, she wants a Pave Platinum band that shows no metal. Any suggestions there?
I really like this diamond. I don’t like making additional recommendations without a reason. If there is something particular you feel is missing, I can offer an alternative and explain the pros/cons of the two.
