Q&A: Looking for Best Round Cut for $15K Budget

Hi Mike, this site has been incredibly useful for my engagement ring search, and I will be recommending it to all my friends!!

I’m looking at James Allen’s True Hearts collection, round brilliant cut, G color, and VS1 clarity. Budget is $15K maximum. Two questions please, and thank you in advance!

1.https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.21-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-194649?a_aid=dmnd1357 is only $50 more expensive than https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.10-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-164362?a_aid=dmnd1357, but 1.21 carat vs. 1.10. Would the medium blue fluorescence of the former be a problem, and if not, is it a good deal compared to the other?

2. What do you think of JA’s True Hearts collection; is it worth the extra money, and if not, what should I be changing in the above criteria?

I would go with the first one. As much as we love JA, I don’t see a point in going with the True Hearts diamonds. The first one is bigger and cheaper.
