Hello – Love the site! This isn’t exactly playing with the big boys here, but your advice would be appreciated if it’s worth your while. I’ve been looking to purchase a promise ring, but they all look kind of cheesy and I’d rather just purchase a diamond. I’m looking for a round shape, around .33 carat, eye clean and sparkly, in a simple 14k white gold solitaire setting. Being able to use bluenile’s or jamesallen’s upgrade program in the future is also a plus. Maybe $700-900?
The only issue that I’ve run into so far is that bluenile has a $190 setting that works, but at jamesallen it looks like a similar setting would cost twice the amount.

I’m not ignoring your email. I sent one to JA because they used to have a $250 setting that doesn’t seem to be there anymore. If they still have it, that would make things easier. I will let you know as soon as I hear from them.
