Q&A: Looking for 0.85-0.9 Cts. Excellent Cut Diamond for $4200 Budget

I’ve read with interest the Q&A section and love the diamonds you help people find. I would love some help/advice, as I want to order a ring in the next few days from jamesallen.com.

I am wanting (hopefully) to be somewhere around .85-.9 carats, but with an excellent cut diamond that will look great in this ring and be eye clean. I would like the diamond to be around $4,200 or less, although could go slightly more if necessary.

Are there any diamonds currently that you think would be better than others for this ring? Please let me know, and also how I can make sure that you get the referral.

So, I looked at the diamonds and the first one does look very nice, and indeed seems like a great value. Do you think that a .83 carat diamond will look decent in the ring that I linked to in my original post? I really don’t have much experience with relating size of diamonds in settings to whether they will look too small. If you think so, I could spend more…just really want to avoid it if possible.
