I’m a huge fan of your site and was hoping you could give me your thoughts on a couple of rings I’m looking at. Please see them below. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.
It seems like you have this diamond buying process down pat. I love the F VVS diamond you selected.
Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
Out of curiosity, did you not like the vs2 diamond?
They are both nice diamonds, but the cut of the VVS is slightly better.
That is a very poor diamond. It is a far inferior cut. It’s too deep, and the L:W ratio is too short (which actually makes the depth% smaller, so the fact that its still 74% means its a terrible cut).
Thanks, Mike. That’s very helpful. What about this one? Is this a better cut?
That diamond is fantastically cut.
I’m down to the following 3. Any advice you could give me to get across the finish line would be much appreciated. I’m forwarding all of my friends and co-workers to your website and services. As always, I really appreciate it. Thanks.
1. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/radiant-cut/1.25-carat-f-color-vs2-clarity-sku-204277?a_aid=dmnd1357 (you already said this was fantastically cut)
2. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/radiant-cut/1.52-carat-f-color-vs2-clarity-sku-183831?a_aid=dmnd1357 (this seems to have a lot of blemishes)
3. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/radiant-cut/1.54-carat-f-color-si1-clarity-sku-31234?a_aid=dmnd1357 (can’t find much wrong with this one)
1) Still my choice.
2) Should be eye-clean. How much more is it?
3) The cut on the diamond is off. It seems like the cut is squeezed. I wouldn’t recommend it.
