Hi looking to buy a diamond of course. Is James Allen the only site you recommend? I was looking at brillance.com. Would you recommended them as well?
We do not recommend brilliance. We have had negative feedback from our readers about them. What are you looking for? We do recommend some other sites for readers, but probably 80% of our readers are best off working with JA.
I am looking for a 1.5 rounds. Trying to keep it under 9k for the diamond itself. Are you guys affiliated with anyone? Like Blue Nile, JA, etc.
As we explain in our about us post, we are affiliate with lots of companies. There are also many sites that we aren’t affiliated with, but are not bad companies. We don’t recommend a site like brilliance for the same reasons that we don’t recommend Blue Nile (here is our review), so we don’t have that much experience. I can say, in addition to that, we have had several readers tell us about terrible experiences with brilliance. Specifically, its been with their customer service in returns (a much bigger issue because they don’t have photos).
Cool, can you recommend me a few diamonds in my price range?
I’d be happy to. What type of setting are you looking for? If you are getting a solitaire you can go with a J color diamond, but if its a pave setting you need to stick with H+.
I am looking at a Pave I think. It’s the one that has something called Baggette diamonds on the side.
You can probably go with this I color, because the cut is fantastic and should work with baguettes (if it were round diamond pave, I’d be more concerned).

What do you think?
That’s nice, is there any discounts codes you guys have? This looks nice, good chance I might order this week. Should I contact someone at JA to make sure they have it in stock?
…….
This is the setting I am looking at:
That looks great. You should contact them to a) put the diamond on hold so it doesn’t disappear on you and b) to find out how long it takes to set the diamond in that.
Unfortunately JA discontinued all discount codes last year.
