Do you think these are good value? If so, which one is better? Do you think I will get a better price in a jewelers?

No they are not worth it (at any price). They are both cut far too deeply. Not only does that negatively affect the brilliance of the diamond, but it makes them look much smaller. You are far better off with a well cut 0.90ct as it will look the same size and be more brilliant. Read our post on diamond size.

Look at these diamonds. The face of them is within 0.1mm size difference of the two 1 carat diamonds you saw. They are far better values.

Thanks for your quick response. Can you please show me a 1ct diamond for €5500 or less that would be best. I don’t want to go below 1ct if possible. Also with regards to depth, what should I be looking for so that it isn’t too deep or too shallow?

Where are you located? I want to factor in the taxes correctly.

I am located in the United Kingdom. I have been to jewellers in the UK and I have found that online websites appear to be cheaper. I don’t like to haggle and so would prefer to buy online. The best UK website for price is (just to give you am idea of UK prices):

I really like the look of these but they are top end of my budget. The cheaper one is the one I am favouring and will probably look to purchase that one.

Yes I wanted to have a solitaire wedfit setting. I was going to get it fitted in the UK but buy the diamond from JA. Based in what I had read on your website I though H colour is what I should get, however if you feel I colour will be negligible then I will consider that.
