Hello,
First of all, let me say that I appreciate the helpful information on your website. I’m looking at these two possible diamonds:

for this white gold setting with sapphire side stone setting:
The criteria I had in mind was a good solid diamond around 1 carat in size. The video that you had with the diamond comparison among folks in Times Square was very insightful. Any help that you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I would chose the 1.20ct. You mention that you liked our video in Times Square, yet you chose EF VVS diamonds. Is there a reason?
Thank you very much for your response and sorry for the delay.
As far as why I picked the ones that I did, it honestly has to do with it still being a bit intimidating looking at all of this so it’s sort of like filling the gas tank with 93 super premium gas when then car manual says that 89 is all you need. Anyway, your question prompted me to go back and look again. I looked through again at over 500 diamonds (not kidding) with color ranging from D to I and clarity from IF to VS2. I probably should have eliminated the D – F color ranges and IF but oh well. I narrowed it down to about 20 or so that I found appealing and did further comparison. It seems like I’m picky on the cut since I found the higher grade ones more appealing. And even though I don’t expect anyone to walk up with a magnifying loop on the street, I also avoided stones with “flecks” in the center (I guess that’s the table). That lead me to the following:
What do you think?
Thank you again for your advice and the fantastic web site!
I think this diamond is a far better value.
