I am searching for an oval diamond ring and stumbled across your website. I know it is very difficult to assess oval cuts so I wanted to ask you guys for your opinion. I have linked an oval diamond below this message from James Allen and wanted to ask what you guys thought of the cut and overall quality and also if it is of good value.

I like the shape of the diamond and the fact that it has a minimal bow-tie, but medium fluorescence might be a big issue on G+ diamonds. It usually causes haziness.
Regarding the “value” of that diamond, you don’t have to go with the highest color and clarity grades to get a beautiful diamond:

D-VVS1 diamond is a terrible value.

I am leaning more so on the bottom diamond. I am trying to figure out why it is much cheaper with the specs and the larger size. It does have faint fluorescence, but I could not see anything else that looked like a major red flag. I know cut is hard to tell from pictures, what do you think of it?

I ended up purchasing the 1-carat F VVS2 stone that was the 2nd link. I hope it was a good purchase. Please give me your opinion.
Sometimes the price difference doesn’t make sense, but in this case, the F-VVS2 was much better shaped. It is an excellent option with great specs and will make a beautiful ring.
