I am looking for a diamond through Blue Nile or James Allen.
I want 1.5ct heart shaped. It will be for my engagement ring. I want a cathedral setting. My budget for after taxes and setting is about $20,000. I think I found four that meet all the criteria but I can’t decide between them. Thank you for your help!
I wouldn’t recommend the E-color diamond with medium fluorescence. It might look hazy/milky in daylight.

Blue Nile LD13991616
Blue Nile LD13513119
These three are gorgeous, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
Thank you for the information. Now that it is narrowed down to those 3 options, do you have any advice on how to choose? Or does it just come down to the price?
They all are equally beautiful options so I’d go with the one that suits you price-wise and the one that you like the shape of (the one from James Allen and the 1.60ct from Blue Nile are a bit wider whereas the 1.50ct from Blue Nile is a bit narrower – choosing the shape is a matter of personal preference more than anything else).
May I ask if there’s a reason you’re aiming for such high color grades?
Thank you for the insight! I tried on a 2ct and 1.5ct and preferred the size of the 1.5ct. So I wanted the “nicest” heart shaped diamond our budget could afford.
I see. Well, you did a great job finding those stunning options!
I went with the 1.6ct. I felt like it was the best value. I’m very excited!
Thank you so much for your help!!
