Hello,
I’m looking for a 1ct round diamond to be set in a white gold solitaire ring. I’m quite fickle when it comes to specs and would like an ideal cut with excellent polish and symmetry. Added bonus would be faint/medium fluorescence. Budget for the diamond is $5,000 but can go a bit higher if you find something really special. We’ve decided to go with Blue Nile.
Here’s what I’d recommend for a simple solitaire setting:
Blue Nile LD13962879
The high clarity grade is just a coincidence, it was the best eye-clean option I found. It’s gorgeously cut and would be very bright and brilliant in real life. Medium fluorescence is also a bonus.
I think the diamond is beautiful. Considering this diamond you’ve recommended for us is ideal cut, I probably don’t have to worry about about the 62.5% depth and slightly smaller table of 55% to affect the light return?
And I also wonder if you can check if there’s any diamonds smaller than the one you found that’s closer to 1ct.
Cut is our #1 priority, but it always depends on how well the percentages and angles work together and how they influence each other. 62.5% depth and 55% table are still within the (very strict) parameters we follow.
I also found these:
Blue Nile LD13958598
Blue Nile LD13337836
So we decided to go with the first 1.19ct stone you recommended. Thank you so much for your help!
You got yourself a gorgeous diamond! I’m glad I could help you with this tremendously important step in your life.
