I need some help to pick a round shape diamond from Blue Nile.
The setting is the Classic Six Claw Solitaire Engagement Ring in 18k Yellow Gold. Looking for a 0.4-0.5 carat diamond.
Total budget is £1,000-£1,100.
Looking for a nice sparkly excellent cut diamond, eye clean and colour we can go lower as the setting is yellow gold.

But I see it’s an SI2 and also it mentions cloud inclusions on the report. Would you say it’s eye clean and has no haziness or cloudiness? Also what do you think of its brilliance? Is it high?
It’s now a choice between this one above and the 0.41 carat I found that I showed you.
Yes, I think all the diamonds are eye-clean and brilliant. I like the first and the third diamond. They have great measurements and are the same price as the second stone that is J color. In case of the first diamond, clouds are not mentioned in the first place, so it’s alright. Both of those diamonds are nicely cut, I don’t see any red flags.

I’ve decided on the 0.48 I SI1. My initial concern was the symmetry and polish was only very good and not excellent, but having read the articles on your website, I don’t think this is a concern, as the cut is excellent and that is clearly visible with the definition of the arrows in the images and video.
I’ve asked Blue Nile to place on hold for me and to get confirmation from the supplier that the diamond is 100% eye clean and no signs of cloudiness, milkiness or haziness. Once they confirm I will proceed with the purchase.
