Hi,
Can you please have a look at this diamond for me Blue Nile LD12318031 tell me what you think?
I know it’s SI2 but looks eye clean. Yellow gold solitaire setting.
The diamond is eye-clean and nicely cut, but unfortunately, strong fluorescence is a problem on I+ diamonds. It usually causes a hazy/milky look. Since this can be recognizable in daylight and not on a screen, we avoid them as we can’t assure people if they will have that effect or not.https://www.diamonds.pro/education/fluorescence/
Would you like me to recommend a better option?
Yes please in that price range.
You can get better value by going with a slightly lower color grade.
These two 0.90cts are the largest recommendable options I found for ~ £3,250. They have fantastic specs. You don’t need to worry about the difference in size, it won’t be noticeable.
They’re nice and thank you but do you think by me paying a bit more I could get a carat? I know it’s silly but I know she has her heart set on it.
…
Just to let you know I took your advice and purchased Blue Nile LD12261791.
Thank you for your help!
You got yourself a beautiful diamond. I know that 1ct is an important mark for a lot of people, but that’s just the weight of the stone, not its size. In reality, nobody knows what a 1ct diamond is supposed to look like and can’t tell the difference between 0.9 and 1ct.
Thanks 🙂
