Buying a diamond from James Allen: www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/1.01-carat-g-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-9227847?a_aid=dmnd1357
What is your advice on it?
The setting is 14K White Gold Bird Of Paradise Engagement Ring
What size diamond would be best? Don’t want to big too block the blue gem stones, so would like something to sparkle with the blue gems.

This diamond is not such a great choice. It has medium fluorescence that might give it a hazy/milky look in daylight.
For the Paradise setting, you can easily go with an H color center stone. There wouldn’t be any color difference. Regarding the size, well, that’s entirely personal. But if you look at the previously purchased rings with center stones of different sizes, I’d say that the 0.8-1ct looks the best. I wouldn’t go larger than 1ct.
Here’s a diamond that would look perfect:

I like the ring you suggested. Any other recommendations that would be maybe just over the 1 carat range? And we will try to keep the fluorescence in the faint or none category.
Sure. Would something like this suit you better?
Yes, like it better, but now we’re thinking maybe going with a different ring that will handle an emerald cut.
So right now we don’t know what we want.
No worries, take you time and keep me posted.
We are looking at these options: 14K Rose Gold Pavé Knife Edge Cathedral Diamond Engagement Ring
Oval diamonds:

We have no price range, we’re just looking to see if something catches our eye that we might like, but don’t really want to go over $7,000 on the diamond.
As far as a pave setting goes, I color wouldn’t work. The diamond might have a yellow hue next to the melee diamonds. I’d stick to an H+.
Unfortunately, the H-color diamond you sent me is not eye-clean.

This one is a very nice option, it has a nice cut and a minimal bow-tie.
I also found these that looked beautiful to me:

Thank you, I think the one I like best is the 9825029 or the 9962098. I don’t see any small black marks on the diamonds like I see on some of the others.
…
I think I’ll go with 9825029.
Thank you for all your help!
That one is absolutely perfect! Enjoy!
