Hi there,
I am considering buying a ring from James Allen.
Ideally an oval cut, H, SI1, 1- 1.2 carat, excellent cut.
I can see some with a L:W ratio 1.30. Is lower than this possible at all?
This is the particular diamond I am looking at:

Choosing a shape and size is a matter of personal taste and preference. Yes, it’s possible to find oval cut diamonds with L/W ratio lower than 1.30 but they are not very common. As for the setting, you can either choose from the offer or you can order a custom-made ring.
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.20-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-sku-8324931?a_aid=dmnd1357 – This diamond is not eye-clean, that’s why I wouldn’t recommend it.
Before I recommend any options, could you please tell me what setting style and metal you’re planning to go with? Do you have a ballpark budget for the center stone in mind?
This is the setting I have chosen: Oval Halo Diamond Engagement Ring in 14k White Gold (0.22 ct. tw.)
I can spend up to 4k on the diamond, but would love it to be under 3.5k. The ring/setting I am happy to spend circa 1.5k – but will spend less on this to get better diamond.
Great!
Here are some beautiful diamonds:

I think this is probably the one for me: Blue Nile LD13414758
What is your honest opinion on it?
It’s a nice stone, I don’t see any red flags. The bowtie seems to be minimal. In my opinion, it’s a perfect stone.
Great, thank you!
