My boyfriend and I have been dating long enough that we are jointly looking for an engagement ring. I think we have decided on this setting from Danhov (http://www.danhov.com/engagement/danhov-classico-single-shank-engagement-ring-cl138.html), in either the platinum or white gold.
Our maximum budget is 8K, so we are looking for a stone that is no more than 6K. Could you help us locate an Asscher cut loose diamond for this setting? Neither of us have much experience with selecting diamonds, and we would like to try to find the best stone for our budget.
If you can stretch your budget a bit, I’d go with this:
FYI, JA sells Danhov settings so you can ask them to get the setting you like.
What do you think?
Thank you for the prompt response. Our budget is probably a bit flexible. I was wondering whether you think going up to something like this one (https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/asscher-cut/1.21-carat-g-color-vvs1-clarity-sku-179137?a_aid=dmnd1357) is worth the extra money?
To be honest, no. I have heard lots of my friends claim that they can tell the difference in color, but I have yet to meet a non-professional who could tell the difference between an H and a G color once the diamond is mounted.
Thank you for your help!
My pleasure. Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
