I am looking for an Asscher Cut diamond for a solitaire engagement setting, most likely a simple, elegant 2mm platinum mount. I would like to be in $10k-$14k range for the stone and be out the door for less than $15k with the setting. I have spent a lot of time doing research but was hoping you could provide a few recommendations. Here is a link to one from James Allen that I have been evaluating.

My fiance to be wants something simple without too much bling, thus the solitaire setting, but any other setting recommendations that look great with an Asscher would be welcome as well.
Thanks for your help.
I like that diamond, but I think this one is just as nice (and cheaper);

What do you think?
Thanks so much for the response Michael!
I do like the diamond you linked to a lot, especially at that price point. Is there any concern with going to VS1 level with an Asscher? My understanding is that they show inclusions much more than other cuts. Do you feel that particular one would be eye clean?
Also, are any of the larger stones in the $15k range from JA worth considering? Not sure I want to go that route, but looking to explore some options.
There is a 1.47 carat, D, VS1; 1.52 carat, F, VS1; and 1.72 carat, G, VVS2 that are all under $15k. That I have thought about as well.
Thanks again for you time and expertise!
Some VS1s may be visible; this one is eye-clean.
I don’t think that the increase in size justifies those price increases. If I felt one was worth spending the extra bucks, I’d say so. But the one I recommended is a beautiful diamond.
