I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this website and the diamond education it provides. I’m at the point where I’m ready to buy and have decided on a setting I found on James Allen (Danhov AE100 14k white gold).
That said, I have a total budget of about 8k and the setting takes about 3,100. Leaving me with a little less than 5k to buy the biggest “eye-clean” diamond I can. From what I’ve learned since it’s a white gold setting I should be looking for a diamond H-J color (more likely J to get a bigger stone), VS1-SI1, excellent cut, and finally the biggest size diamond that meet those specification.
I’d like to get your recommendations on a couple of diamonds that you would recommend.
I love this diamond for you:

It’s bright, eye-clean and will look great in that setting. What do you think?
Thank you for your prompt response.
That diamond looks great but I do have a question. I found another one that is slightly smaller but the inclusion is on the side and seems “prongable” (I think it’s the right term). Given it’s about 500 more than the one you sent me, do you think it would be worth the extra money?

I think both are nice and you can’t go wrong with either. At this point, just go with the one you are more emotionally attached to.
Please let me know how it looks when it arrives.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks so much. Best of luck!
