I’m almost brain dead in lookng for a cushion cut diamond on-line that will go nicely on a Neil Lane Bridal ring my wife picked out (see link below) and stay close to $3000 without sacraficing the quality/look of the diamond on the ring.
She wants the modern facet structure but without the crush ice look.
I would recommend this diamond for you:

It’s bright, eye-clean and a great value. It will look great in that setting. What do you think?
Thank you for your reply. The diamond does look nice but per the GIA report it has several inclusions including a knot on the top left hand side of the diamond. Doesn’t this affect the diamond on the reflection of light? I would prefer a diamond with less inclusions.
I would not be worried about that at all. It has a minimal affect on light performance.
I’m considering a second diamond. See link below. Please can you look at it and compare it to the one you recommended and let me know what your opinion is on the comparison of these two diamonds for my wife’s ring.

Ring to mount diamond
Thank you for all your help with this difficult but important decision,
I prefer the G SI2. I can’t see the price comparison, but unless the first one is much cheaper go for the G SI2.
Price difference is about $300. Why the G SI2 versus the H SI1? size and color preference over clarity?
It’s eye-clean, so there is no point in paying for extra clarity. The color is better (not a big deal) and the depth% is better (bigger deal). None of these are big factors, but that is why I’d lean towards the G.
