Greetings! I am a first time diamond buyer and have looked at tons but now that I’m actually ready to buy I’m having a much harder time finding the perfect one. I am looking for a yellow diamond. I would prefer to .45 or larger(most I have looked at are around .5ct). I actually prefer the lighter yellow or yellow-orange but do not like the yellow green or yellow-brown. I am wanting it set in a white gold ring with a bright gold setting for the diamond so it looks more yellow/brighter. I am trying to decide between doing a solitaire or halo setting and have done most of my looking on bluenile.com due to the option to upgrade your diamond later. I like the round, radient, and cushion cuts and do not like the pear or heart shaped. My budget is up to 1700(only stone), but I would prefer to stay in the 800-1300 range if possible. Most recently I had been looking at 2 diamonds from bluenile. I have attached one but am unable to attach a 2nd photo but have one of the other also. It is very hard to tell if they are the one I want without actually seeing it and with knowing so little about them, so any advice/help would be very appreciated! The #’s for the ones I was currently looking at are LD03330526, LD03383701 on bluenile.com. I am not set on either of these.
Thanks again and I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
Stay away from BN especially for fancy colors. They know nothing about fancy colors and there is no way to determine the quality of the diamonds. Color is very difficult to determine without seeing a photo.
